WorkKeys® Job Profiling

Jackie Anderson has been an ACT-authorized WorkKeys® job profiler since 2001 and has completed over 130 job profiles.

Through WorkKeys profiling, a job or occupation is defined by creating a list of required tasks with input from job incumbents. The task list is then used to determine which foundational skills, such as math, are required to perform the tasks and to determine the level of proficiency that is required. The result is a job validity study, or job profile. The task list is also a valuable tool for developing or updating job descriptions, interview questions, and training materials.

When the profile is completed, employers can use WorkKeys foundational skill assessments to test internal or external job candidates to see if they possess the level of skill necessary to perform the job. WorkKeys assessments measure skills that employers feel are essential to success in the workplace. Each WorkKeys assessment offers varying levels of difficulty. Successful completion of WorkKeys assessments in Applied Math, Graphic Literacy and Workplace Documents can lead to earning the National Career Readiness Certificate™ (NCRC®), a portable credential earned by more than 3 million people across the United States. Assessments are available through your local community college.
